“I want Springfield to remain a place where people can build their lives”.
Why I’m Running…
Springfield has been my home for nearly forty years. My husband and I raised our family here, built our careers here, and experienced firsthand what makes this community special. I have always believed that public service is about giving back to the place that has given so much to us.
It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve the people of Springfield over the past several months. When I accepted this appointment, I made a commitment to approach every decision by listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, gathering reliable information, and considering both today's needs and tomorrow's consequences.
Running for election is my opportunity to continue serving the community that has invested in me for so many years.
I don't believe leadership is about having all the answers. I believe it is about listening well, bringing people together, making informed decisions, and earning trust through transparency, accountability, and integrity.
People don't have to agree with every decision I make. I hope they will always respect how I make those decisions.
As a City Councilor I will…
Support a strong local economy that creates good-paying jobs and opportunities for local businesses.
Invest in infrastructure before small problems become major challenges, including roads, sidewalks, transportation, public safety, and long-term issues like the 42nd Street levee.
Ensure Springfield remains a community where families can afford to put down roots and thrive.
Plan thoughtfully for growth, redevelopment, and future economic opportunities while preserving what makes Springfield unique.
Practice responsible fiscal stewardship that protects essential city services while respecting taxpayer dollars.
Build trust in local government by making decisions openly, listening to residents, and remaining accountable to the community.
“I believe a city councilor represents not only the people who attend council meetings, but also the thousands of residents who are busy living their lives—raising children, operating businesses, working hard, volunteering, and caring for neighbors.
Those voices deserve representation, too.
My goal is to continue serving Springfield with humility, thoughtful leadership, and a long-term commitment to building a stronger community for future generations.”
